My friend and I were recently talking about technology, and how integrated it has become to our daily lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory drops, the possibility of copying our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could encounter in my lifetime.

Digital Memory sure is becoming cheaper and cheaper and cheaper. I'm curious as to when we will eventually reach the ratio of 1c to 1 Gig.

I'm quietly waiting for the day when I will finally be able to afford a 20 terabyte drive, lol. But for now I guess I will be satisfied with having a 16 gigabyte Micro SD Card in my R4i.

Purchasing memory cards is such a big hassle... You have to Google prices, filter through which ones are genuine, around a bunch of stores, compare prices, finally buy your memory, and then fervently pray that the price doesn't drop in the next two weeks or so.

I've been f'd over by some ridiculous price drops in the past... especially this one time when I bought a Micro SD for my DS flashcard at what was apparently a bargain price, only to later see that it fell $5 in a week.
